Describes activities implemented or launched by the Working Group on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment since the 10th session of the Committee on Environmental Policy; reports on results of a workshop concerning the Tacis project on strengthening environmental information and observation capacity in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (Geneva, Nov. 2003), Workshop on Electronic Databases for Environmental Reporting (Moscow, May 2003) and Workshop on the Application of Environmental Indicators (Chisinau, July 2004).
