Resúmen
The report, which has been prepared pursuant to General Assembly resolution 55/184, reviews the debt situation of the developing countries and economies in transition; recent developments in external debt owed to official creditors; and the progress made by the international community in alleviating the debt burden in the context of the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries Debt Initiative and the Paris Club. It also discusses developments regarding financial obligations of debtors vis-à-vis private creditors and international capital markets. It concludes with policy recommendations. DAA
