Human resources management : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Decides to revert to the issue of contractual arrangements at its 57th session; endorses the views and recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions in paragraphs 8-11 and annex VIII of its report (A/55/499), subject to the provisions of the present resolution; decides to approve the proposed amendment (A/55/253 and Corr.1, annex X to staff rule 104.14; endorses the views and recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions in paragraphs 22 and 23 of its report on accountability and responsibility and on management irregularities (A/55/499); decides to further consider the issue of a robust monitoring capacity in the Office for Human Resources Management for the monitoring of all relevant activities in the Secretariat, regardless of the source of their funding; decides to consider the question of the use of consultants and individual contractors at its 56th session; decides to inscribe the item entitled "Administration of justice" in the provisional agenda of its 56th session; endorses the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions in paragraph 19 of its report (A/55/499); endorses the proposals of the Secretary-General concerning performance management and career development, bearing in mind the provisions of the present resolution.
