Summary
Decides to appropriate to the Special Account for the UN Observer Mission in Angola the additional amount of US$87.2 million gross for the operation of the Observer Mission for the period from 1 July 1998-30 June 1999, taking into account the amount of $45,899,080 gross already appropriated for the period from 1 July-31 Oct. 1998 under the provisions of its resolution 52/8 C, and inclusive of the amount of $10.9 million gross authorized by the Advisory Committee for the month of Nov. 1998; decides also, as an ad hoc arrangement to apportion the additional amount of $42,821,400 gross for the period from 1 Nov. 1998-26 Feb. 1999 among Member States; decides further that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of $1,289,000 approved for the period from 1 Nov. 1998-26 Feb. 1999; decides, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion among Member States the amount of $44,378,600 gross for the period from 27 Feb.-30 June 1999 at a monthly rate of $10.9 million gross subject to the decision of the Security Council to extend the mandate of the Observer Mission beyond 26 Feb. 1999; decides also that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of $1,336,000 approved for the period from 27 Feb.-30 June 1999.
