Summary
Endorses the decision of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities to entrust Louis Joinet and Danilo Turk, members of the Sub-Commission, with the preparation of a study on the right to freedom of opinion and expression, current problems in the realization of that right and measures necessary for strengthening and promoting it; requests the Special Rapporteur to submit a preliminary report on the study to the Sub-Commission for consideration at its 42nd session and to the Commission on Human Rights at its 47th session for comments.
