Implementation of the Global Programme of Action adopted by the General Assembly at its special session devoted to the question of international co-operation against illicit production, supply, demand, trafficking and distribution of narcotic drugs.

Strongly affirms the need for the full implementation of all the mandates and activities included in the Global Programme of Action adopted by the General Assembly at its 17th special session and for the effective follow-up thereof; requests the Secretary-General to submit a statement of the programme budget implications of all mandates and activities included in the Global Programme of Action, in a timely manner, to the relevant committees of the General Assembly at its 45th session in order to provide Member States with a detailed and precise specifications of the mandates and activities of the UN drug control units and the extent and nature of the resources required to fully implement their responsibilities.
