Invites Member States that have not yet done so to establish national committees for the Decade and otherwise to strengthen their efforts to implement the Plan of Action for the Decade; requests the Secretary-General, in co-operation with the Director-General of Unesco to strengthen co-ordination of the activities undertaken by the organizations and programmes of the UN system in support of the Decade; requests the Secretary-General, with the assistance of the Director-General of Unesco, to obtain the views of Governments, appropriate organs and organizations of the UN system and relevant intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations on the objectives and scope of the global review for the purpose of evaluation, as recommended in paragraph 92 of the report of the Secretary-General and the Director-General on the Decade, and to submit those views to the General Assembly at its 45th session, through the Economic and Social Council.
