Summary
Requests the Secretary-General to co-ordinate at the inter-agency level, the development of a UN system-wide action plan on drug abuse control using as a guide the Declaration of the International Conference on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and the recommendations in the Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Outline of Future Activities in Drug Abuse Control; requests States to ensure that all aspects of the problem are adequately addressed in the elaboration of a global programme of action against illicit narcotic drugs for adoption at the special session.
