Financing of the United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly.

Decides that the authorization provided by its resolution 43/230 for the period from 9 Feb. 1989 to 8 Feb. 1990, inclusive, shall be extended to include the period up to and including 31 Mar. 1990; decides to appropriate to the Special Account referred to in General Assembly resolution 42/233 an amount of $U.S. 61,678,175 gross ($60,929,016 net) for the period from 9 Feb. to 30 Sept. 1989, inclusive; decides further to appropriate to the Special Account the amount of $34,153,825 gross ($33,738,984 net) for the period from 1 Oct. 1989 to 31 Mar. 1990, inclusive; decides, as an ad hoc arrangement, to apportion the amounts among Member States in accordance with the composition of groups set out in paragraphs 3 and 4 of General Assembly resolution 43/232 of 1 Mar. 1989; also decides, on an exceptional basis, that the appropriations provided for the first 2 mandate periods of the Military Observer Group, that is, from 9 Aug. 1988 to 30 Sept. 1989, inclusive, be administered as 1 financial period; decides that the special financial period of the Military Observer Group shall be for 12 months, beginning on 1 Oct. of one year and ending on 30 Sept. of the next, effective from 1 Oct. 1989.
