Summary
Approves the report of the Secretary-General contained in document S/20895; decides to set up immediately, under its authority, a UN Observer Group in Central America and requests the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps to this effect in accordance with his above-mentioned report, bearing in mind the need to continue to monitor expenditures carefully during this period of increasing demands on Peacekeeping resources; further decides that the UN Observer Group in Central America shall be established for a period of 6 months, unless the Security Council decides otherwise; requests the Secretary-General to keep the Security Council fully informed of further developments.
