Summary
Provides an overview of the Office's activities and of the follow-up to recommendations formulated in previous reports of the High Commissioner on the situation of human rights in Guatemala and analyses several key human rights issues: security and justice, including right to life, proliferation and availability of firearms, the tendency to privatize public security, fight against impunity, and deprivation of liberty; also addresses the increased vulnerability of human rights defenders and women's rights.
