Summary
Encourages Member States to support the regional and thematic programmes of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime through unearmarked voluntary contributions; welcomes the advances in the implementation of the Santo Domingo Pact and Managua Mechanism interregional initiative; welcomes the holding in Cairo, from 27-29 Apr. 2010, of the regional expert meeting organized by the League of Arab States in partnership with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and with the support of the Government of Egypt, on drug control, crime prevention and criminal justice reform in the Arab States, in order to prepare a regional programme for the period 2011-2015; requests the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to continue with the development of regional programmes in 2010; supports the work of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in leading the development of the integrated programme approach; requests the Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to continue giving high priority and support to the implementation of the integrated programme approach through the promotion of the regional and thematic programmes.
