Invites Governments to take into consideration the Salvador Declaration and the recommendations adopted by the 12th Congress; invites Member States to identify areas covered in the Salvador Declaration where further tools and training manuals based on international standards and best practices are needed and to submit that information to the Commission; requests the Commission to establish an open-ended intergovernmental expert group, to be convened prior to the twentieth session of the Commission; also requests the Commission to establish to be convened between the 20th and 21st sessions of the Commission; requests the open-ended intergovernmental expert groups to report to the Commission on progress in their work; requests the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to continue to provide technical assistance to facilitate the ratification and implementation of the Convention against Corruption, the Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the international instruments related to the prevention and suppression of terrorism; requests the Commission to consider at its 20th session options to improve the efficiency of the process involved in the UN congresses on crime prevention and criminal justice; requests the Secretary-General to distribute the report of the 12th Congress.
