Strongly condemns all acts of violence against women; also urges Member States to take into account the special needs and vulnerabilities of women within the criminal justice system; urges Member States to provide appropriate assistance to women victims of violence; urges the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and Member States and invites the institutes of the UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme network to continue to offer training and capacity-building opportunities; requests the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to intensify its efforts to ensure the widest possible use and dissemination of the updated Model Strategies and Practical Measures; invites the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to strengthen coordination in its activities in the area of violence against women with other relevant entities of the UN system.
