Summary
Decides in line with the request from the Government of Nepal to renew the mandate of UN Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) as established under resolution 1740 (2007) until 15 Jan. 2011; decides that UNMIN's mandate will terminate on 15 Jan. 2011 after which date UNMIN will leave Nepal; requests the parties in Nepal to take the necessary steps to promote the safety, security and freedom of movement of UNMIN and associated personnel in executing the tasks defined in the mandate.
