Résumé
Reaffirms the importance of all States parties to the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons complying with their obligations under all the articles of the Treaty; encourages the Russian Federation and the United States to fully implement the obligations under the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Reductions and to undertake further steps in nuclear disarmament with greater transparency, including the conclusion of a legally binding successor to the Treaty on the Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (START I); urges all States that have not yet done so to sign and ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty at the earliest opportunity with a view to its early entry into force and universalization, stresses the importance of maintaining existing moratoriums on nuclear-weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions pending the entry into force of the Treaty; stresses the importance of preventing nuclear terrorism, and encourages every effort to secure all vulnerable nuclear and radiological material.
