摘要
Commends the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, including its Terrorism Prevention Branch for providing technical assistance to States to facilitate the implementation of the international conventions and protocols relating to the prevention and suppression of terrorism; urges Member States that have not yet done so to consider becoming parties without delay to the existing international conventions and protocols related to terrorism, and requests the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to reinforce the provision of technical assistance to Member States, upon request, for the ratification and legislative incorporation of those international legal instruments and for the building of capacity to implement them; requests the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to intensify its efforts to continue to systematically develop specialized legal knowledge in the area of counter-terrorism and pertinent thematic areas of relevance to the mandates of the Office and to provide technical assistance for building the capacity of Member States to ratify and implement the international conventions and protocols related to terrorism; expresses its appreciation to all Member States that have supported the technical assistance activities of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.
