Summary
Requests the Secretary-General to ensure that all language services are given equal treatment and are provided with equally favourable working conditions and resources; requests the Secretary-General to ensure effective multilingual communication among representatives of Member States in intergovernmental organs and members of expert bodies of the UN equally in all the official languages; requests the Secretary-General to ensure guided tours at UN Headquarters are consistently available; reaffirms the need to achieve full parity among the 6 official languages; requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its 65th sess. a comprehensive report on the full implementation of its resolutions on multilingualism.
