The 3rd rev. ed. of the GHS incorporates amendments adopted by the UN Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods and on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals concerning, inter alia, new provisions for the allocation of hazard statements and for the labelling of small packagings; two new sub-categories for respiratory and skin sensitization; the revision of the classification criteria for long-term hazards to the aquatic environment; and a new hazard class for substances and mixtures hazardous to the ozone layer.
