Timely submission of documents : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on action taken to improve the timely submission of documents for the 5th Committee; welcomes the progress achieved so far by the task force concerning the timely issuance of documents for the 5th Committee on peacekeeping financing; notes with concern the lack of conference services being provided to the Human Rights Council, and requests the Secretary-General to ensure that the Council is provided with all necessary conference services to support its activities, including the universal periodic review; requests the Secretary-General to entrust the Office of Internal Oversight Services with a review of the circumstances that led to insufficient conference services being put at the disposal of the Human Rights Council in 2009; also requests the Secretary-General to maintain the support to major groups participating in the 2009 substantive session of the Economic and Social Council, to be held in Geneva.
