United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Commends the UN Commission on International Trade Law for preparing the draft Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea; adopts the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea, contained in the annex to the present resolution; authorizes a ceremony for the opening for signature to be held on 23 Sept. 2009 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and recommends that the rules embodied in the Convention be known as the "Rotterdam Rules"; calls upon all Governments to consider becoming party to the Convention.
