Recognizes that the Inter-Agency Network on Women and Gender Equality remains an important forum for the exchange and cross-fertilization of ideas on gender mainstreaming within the UN system; requests all relevant UN entities to maintain their efforts to raise awareness of gender issues within their organizations and across the UN system; stresses the important role that senior management plays in creating an environment that actively supports gender mainstreaming, and calls upon it to perform that role.
