Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Guinea-Bissau

Welcomes the decision of the Peacebuilding Commission to place Guinea-Bissau in its agenda and the creation of a country-specific configuration; looks forward to continued support for Guinea-Bissau from donors, the UN system and the Bretton Woods institutions and welcomes the decision by the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund to renew access by Guinea-Bissau to emergency post-conflict assistance; invites the partners of Guinea-Bissau to provide predictable and adequate resources to ensure the effective implementation of the strategic framework of the Peacebuilding Commission; stresses the importance of addressing the structural causes of conflict; decides to terminate the mandate of the Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Guinea-Bissau.
