Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Haiti

Commends the finalization of the growth and poverty reduction strategy paper by the Haitian authorities; expresses concern over the especially adverse effects of the global food crisis on Haiti and encourages the international community to continue providing support for the short- and long-term needs for recovery of Haiti; decides to extend the mandate of the Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Haiti until the substantive session of the Economic and Social Council in July 2009, with the purpose of following closely and providing advice on Haiti's long-term development strategy to promote socio-economic recovery and stability.
