Financing of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Requests the Secretary-General to entrust the Head of Mission with the task of formulating future budget proposals; decides to approve the upgrade and redeployment of 1 P-5 post from the Civil Affairs Section to the Office of the Principal Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General; also decides to approve the establishment of 14 national General Service temporary positions for Drivers; decides to allocate up to 2 million dollars for quick-impact projects for the period from 1 July 2008-30 June 2009; also decides that quick-impact projects shall be conducted by the Mission in accordance with the requirements set out in resolution 61/276; decides to appropriate to the Special Account for the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti the amount of US$601,580,100 for the period from 1 July 2008-30 June 2009; also decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $175,460,862 for the period from 1 July-15 Oct. 2008; further decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $4,557,495; decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $426,119,238 for the period from 16 Oct. 2008 -30 June 2009; also decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $11,068,205; also decides that the decrease of $85,200 in the estimated staff assessment income in respect of the financial period ended 30 June 2007 shall be set off against the credits from the amount of $39,781,200.
