Financing of the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Decides to maintain the staffing for the General Services Office for the Observer Mission at the level currently funded under the provisions of its resolution 61/283; decides to appropriate to the Special Account for the UN Observer Mission in Georgia the amount of US$36,084,000 for the period from 1 July 2008-30 June 2009, inclusive of $34,484,200 for the maintenance of the Observer Mission, $1,394,600 for the support account for peacekeeping operations and $205,200 for the UN Logistics Base; also decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $10,524,500 for the period from 1 July-15 Oct. 2008; further decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph above, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $747,804, comprising the estimated staff assessment income of $703,996 approved for the Observer Mission, the prorated share of $39,083 of the estimated staff assessment income approved for the support account and the prorated share of $4,725 of the estimated staff assessment income approved for the UN Logistics Base; decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $25,559,500 for the period from 16 Oct. 2008-30 June 2009 at a monthly rate of $3,007,000; also decides that the decrease of $85,100 in the estimated staff assessment income in respect of the financial period ended 30 June 2007 shall be set off against the credits from the amount of $1,906,700 referred to in paragraphs above.
