Summary
Decides to appropriate to the Special Account for the UN Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea US$105,010,000 for the period from 1 July 2008-30 June 2009; also decides to apportion among Member States $8,750,833 for the period from 1-31 July 2008; further decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $231,307 for the period from 1-31 July 2008; decides to apportion among Member States $46,075,167, comprising the amount of $41,819,750 for the maintenance of the Mission for the period from 1 Aug.-31 Dec. 2008 at a monthly rate of $8,363,950, and the amount of $4,255,717 for the support account and the UN Logistics Base for the period from 1 Aug. 2008-30 June 2009 at a monthly rate of $386,883; also decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $1,374,493 for the period from 1 Aug. 2008-30 June 2009; further decides that, for Member States that have fulfilled their financial obligations to the Mission, there shall be set off against their apportionment their respective share of the unencumbered balance and other income of $18,012,400 ended 30 June 2007; decides that, for Member States that have not fulfilled their financial obligations to the Mission, there shall be set off against their outstanding obligations their respective share of the unencumbered balance and other income of $18,012,400 in respect of the financial period ended 30 June 2007; also decides that the decrease of $32,900 in the estimated staff assessment income shall be set off against the credits from $18,012,400.
