States Secretary-General's intention to upgrade the post of Head of the UN Political Office for Somalia (UNPOS) to the level of Under-Secretary-General and to appoint Ahmedou Ould Abdallah, currently his Special Representative for West Africa, as Special Representative for Somalia; also states his intention to reassign François Lonseny Fall, currently Special Representative for Somalia, as Head of the UN Peacebuilding Support Office in the Central African Republic (BONUCA) and temporarily reassign General Lamine Cissé, his Special Representative, whose contract expires on 31 Dec. 2007, as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for West Africa at his current level.
