Summary
Reaffirms the strong development orientation of the outcomes of both the Geneva and the Tunis phases of the World Summit on the Information Society, and urges their full implementation; also reaffirms its request to the Economic and Social Council to oversee the system-wide follow-up to the Geneva and Tunis outcomes of the Summit; requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its 63rd sess., through the Economic and Social Council, the report being prepared for the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, as mandated by the Council in its resolution 2006/46 of 28 July 2006, on the status of implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the Summit.
