Summary
Reiterates its invitation to Member States to implement the Bangkok Declaration on Synergies and Responses: Strategic Alliances in Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and the recommendations adopted by the 11th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in formulating legislation and policy directives; requests the Secretary-General to facilitate the organization of regional preparatory meetings for the 12th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice; accepts with gratitude the offer of the Government of Brazil to act as host to the 12th Congress; decides that the duration of the 12th Congress should not exceed eight days, including pre-Congress consultations.
