Cooperation between the United Nations and the Eurasian Economic Community : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Takes note of the activities of the Eurasian Economic Community in support of UN goals through the strengthening of regional cooperation in such areas as trade and economic development, the establishment of a customs union, energy, transport, agriculture and agro-industry, the regulation of migration, banking and finance, communications, education, health care and pharmaceuticals, environmental protection and natural disaster risk reduction; invites the specialized agencies and other organizations, programmes and funds of the UN system, as well as international financial institutions, to cooperate and develop direct contacts with the Eurasian Economic Community for the purpose of undertaking joint implementation of programmes to achieve their goals; requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its 63rd session a report on the implementation of the present resolution; decides to include in the provisional agenda of its 63rd session the sub-item entitled "Cooperation between the United Nations and the Eurasian Economic Community".
