United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Reiterates General Assembly's strong support for the role of the UN Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean; appeals to Member States and to international governmental and non-governmental organizations and foundations to make and to increase voluntary contributions to strengthen the Regional Centre; recognizes that the Regional Centre has an important role in the promotion and development of regional initiatives agreed upon by the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean; requests the Secretary-General to provide the Regional Centre with all necessary support and to report to the General Assembly at its 63rd sess. on the implementation of the present resolution; decides to include in the provisional agenda of its 63rd sess. the item entitled "United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean".
