Резюме
Reaffirms that the Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2001-2010 constitutes a fundamental framework for a strong global partnership; stresses that the internationally agreed development goals can be effectively achieved in the least developed countries through, in particular, the timely fulfilment of the 7 commitments of the Brussels Programme of Action; reiterates its invitation to all development and trading partners to support the implementation of the transition strategy of countries graduating from the list of least developed countries; stresses the need to assess the implementation of the Programme of Action sector by sector; reiterates the critical importance of the participation of Government representatives from the least developed countries in the annual review of the Programme of Action by the Economic and Social Council; reiterates its request to the Secretary-General to include least developed country issues in all relevant reports in the economic, social and related fields; requests the Secretary-General to submit an analytical and results-oriented annual progress report on the further implementation of the Programme of Action.
