Financing of the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Decides to appropriate to the Special Account for the UN Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea the amount of US$118,988,700 for the period 1 July 2007-30 June 2008, inclusive of the amount of $113,483,400 for the maintenance of the Mission, $4,734,900 for the support account for peacekeeping operations and $770,400 for the UN Logistics Base; also decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $9,915,725 for the period from 1-31 July 2007; further decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $281,225; decides to apportion among Member States the amount of $109,072,975 for the period from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008 at a monthly rate of $9,915,725; further decides that, for Member States that have fulfilled their financial obligations to the Mission, there shall be set off against their apportionment their respective share of $35,857,300 for the period ending 30 June 2006; decides that, for Member States that have not fulfilled their financial obligations to the Mission, there shall be set off against their outstanding obligations their respective share of the unencumbered balance and other income of $35,857,300 for the period ending 30 June 2006; also decides that the decrease of $966,400 in staff assessment income for the period ended on 30 June 2006 shall be set of against the credits from the amount of $35,857,300.
