Special subjects relating to the programme budget for the biennium 2006-2007 : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/61/924), subject to the provisions of the present resolution; reiterates its appeal to Member States, as a matter of urgency, to contribute voluntary funds in support of the Institute and to honour existing pledges; decides, on an exceptional basis, to authorize the Secretary-General to enter into commitments in an amount up to US$367,800 under section 9, Economic and social affairs, of the programme budget for the biennium 2006-2007, subject to full reimbursement, pending receipt of voluntary contributions; endorses the proposal of the Secretary-General contained in paragraph 7 of his report (A/61/890).
