Financing of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Approves the proposed resources for the Strategic Military Cell, as an interim measure; decides to appropriate to the Special Account US$403,089,300 for the expansion of the Force for the period from 1 July 2006-30 June 2007, inclusive of $257,340,400 previously authorized and in addition to the amount of $97,579,600 already appropriated under the terms of its resolution 60/278 for the period from 1 July 2006-30 June 2007; also decides to authorize the Secretary-General to extend the use of the commitment authority; further decides to approve the decrease in the total estimated staff assessment income approved for the Force under the terms of its resolutions 60/278 and 61/250 A for the period from 1 July 2006-30 June 2007 from $6,844,200-$5,631,500; decides to apportion among Member States the additional amount of $145,748,900 for the expansion of the Force for the period from 1 July 2006-30 June 2007; also decides that, there shall be added to the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph 24 above, their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the amount of $1,212,700, representing the decrease in the estimated staff assessment income approved for the Force for the period from 1 July 2006-30 June 2007.
