Financing of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Requests the Secretary-General to entrust the Head of Mission with the task of formulating future budget proposals; authorizes the Secretary-General to finance up to 22 general temporary assistance positions at UN Headquarters to provide support for the deployment of the Mission and to take all necessary action to ensure that the Mission is administered with a maximum of efficiency and economy; authorizes the Secretary-General to establish a special account for the UN Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste; also authorizes the Secretary-General to enter into commitments for the Mission for the period 25 Aug. 2006-31 Mar. 2007 in a total amount not exceeding US$170,221,100, inclusive of $49,961,500; decides to apportion among Member States $143,140,420 from 25 Aug. 2006 to 25 Feb. 2007, also decides that, there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the amount of $2,046,840; further decides to apportion among Member States $27,080,680 for the period 26 Feb.-31 Mar. 2007 at the monthly rate of $23,556,753; decides that there shall be set off against the apportionment among Member States their respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of $387,360, representing the estimated staff assessment income approved for the Mission for the period 26 Feb.-31 Mar. 2007.
