Summary
Expresses its solidarity and support to the Government and people of the Philippines; invites Member States and concerned UN bodies, as well as international financial institutions and development agencies, to provide additional economic and technical assistance in the post-disaster recovery and rehabilitation processes; invites the international community and the UN system and other international organizations to increase their support for the strengthening of the disaster risk management and disaster preparedness capacity of the Philippines; requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its 62nd session, on the collaborative effort extended to the Philippines and the progress made in the relief, rehabilitation and clean-up efforts in the affected communities.
