Protection of global climate for present and future generations of mankind : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Calls upon States to work cooperatively towards achieving the ultimate objective of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change; stresses that the seriousness of climate change argues for the implementation of the provisions of the Framework Convention; notes with interest the activities undertaken under the flexible mechanisms established by the Kyoto Protocol; endorses the continuation of the institutional linkage of the secretariat of the Framework Convention to UN until such time as a review is deemed necessary by the Conference of the Parties or the General Assembly.
