Résumé
Decides to authorize IGAD and Member States of the African Union to establish a protection and training mission in Somalia, to be reviewed after an initial period of 6 months by the Security Council with a briefing by IGAD; endorses the specification in the IGAD Deployment Plan that those States that border Somalia would not deploy troops to Somalia; decides that the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) and further elaborated in paragraphs 1 and 2 of resolution 1425 (2002) shall not apply to supplies of weapons and military equipment and technical training and assistance intended solely for the support of or use by the force; encourages Member States to provide financial resources for IGASOM.
