Estimates in respect of special political missions, good offices and other political initiatives authorized by the General Assembly and/or the Security Council : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Approves the budgets of US$59,647,600 gross for the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan for the period 1 Apr.-31 Dec. 2006, $18,971,400 gross for the International Independent Investigation Commission for the period 16 June-31 Dec. 2006 and $5,776,200 gross for the UN Office in Timor-Leste for the period 21 June-31 Aug. 2006; decides to approve a charge of $51,908,500, corresponding to the unassigned balance against the provision for special political missions, appropriated under section 3, Political affairs, of the programme budget for the biennium 2006-2007; also decides to appropriate an amount of $19,065,700 under section 3, Political affairs, of the programme budget for the biennium 2006-2007 and an amount of $7,377,600 under section 35, Staff assessment.
