Summary
Refers to para. 5 and 6 of Security Council resolution 1650 (2005) and the Secretary-General's report of 26 May 2005 (S/2005/320) and reports the Secretary-General's intention, subject to a decision by the Council, to temporarily redeploy one infantry battalion, a military hospital and up to 50 military observers against the authorized ceiling of the UN Operations in Burundi on military personnel to the UN Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for an initial period ending 31 Dec. 2006; requests that the proposal be brought to the urgent attention of the Security Council.
