Humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation for El Salvador and Guatemala : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Calls upon the international community to provide assistance in response to the flash appeal for Guatemala and to the joint UN agency appeal in El Salvador; emphasizes the importance of investing in disaster risk reduction, and encourages the international community to cooperate with the Governments of El Salvador and Guatemala towards this end; requests the relevant organs and organizations of the UN system and other multilateral organizations to increase their support and assistance for strengthening the disaster-preparedness capacity of the countries concerned.
