Deferral of the smooth transition period for the graduation of Maldives from the list of least developed countries : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Decides to defer, in the case of Maldives, for a period of 3 years until 1 Jan. 2008, the commencement of the 3-year smooth transition period for graduation from the list of least developed countries; underlines the unique nature of this decision, taken in the context of the unprecedented natural disaster caused by the tsunami of 26 Dec. 2004.
