Summary
Requests the specialized agencies and other organizations of the UN system and international and regional organizations to examine and review conditions in each Territory, to strengthen existing measures of support and formulate appropriate programmes of assistance to remaining Non-Self-Governing Territories, within the framework of their respective mandates; requests the Department of Public Information, in consultation with the UNDP, the specialized agencies and the Special Committee, to prepare an information leaflet on assistance programmes available to the Non-Self-Governing Territories and to disseminate it widely among them; requests the administering Powers concerned to facilitate the participation of appointed and elected representatives of Non-Self-Governing Territories in the meetings and conferences of the specialized agencies and other organizations of the UN system; requests the President of the Council to continue to maintain close contact on these matters with the Chairman of the Special Committee and to report thereon to the Council; requests the Secretary-General to follow the implementation of the present resolution and to report thereon to the Council at its substantive session of 2006; decides to keep these questions under continuous review.
