Summary
Recommends that the Secretary-General convene an open-ended expert group to consider ways and means of improving crime data collection, research and analyses with a view to enhancing the work of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and other relevant international entities, in particular the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, as appropriate, to enhance international cooperation and law enforcement; invites Member States to make voluntary contributions to support the work of the open-ended expert group; requests the Secretary-General to submit the results of the meeting of the open-ended expert group to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its 15th session.
