Résumé
Decides that the mandate of UNAMSIL shall be extended for a final period of 6 months until 31 Dec. 2005; requests the Secretary-General to finalize the necessary planning for an appropriate integrated UN system presence in Sierra Leone with the capacity and expertise to coordinate the activities of UN agencies, funds and programmes, to cooperate with the donor community, and to continue to support the efforts of the Government of Sierra Leone after UNAMSIL has withdrawn; urges the Government of Sierra Leone to continue its efforts to develop an effective police force, armed forces, penal system and independent judiciary; requests the Secretary-General to continue to take all necessary action in the zero tolerance policy on sexual exploitation and abuse and to keep the Council informed; decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
