Support account for peacekeeping operations : resolution / adopted by the General Assembly

Decides to establish the following posts: P-5 for MINUSTAH, P-4 for the Best Practices Section, P-3 for the 5th Committee, P-3 for DPKO-Addis Ababa; D-1 for ITS in DPKO, D-1 fo the Transport and Movement Service in DPKO, P-3 for an Environmental Engineering in DPKO; decides not to approve a P-4 for a Security Coordinator in DSS; decides to approve $ 23, 265,700 in general termporary assistance and 4,414,900 in non-post resources; decides not to approve $154,200 under consultancy; decides to maintain, from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007, the funding mechanism for the support account used in the current period; approves the support account requirements in the amount of US$183,187,000 for the period 1 July, 2006-30 June 2007, including 734 continuing and 56 new temporary posts and their related post and non-post requirements; decides that the requirements for the support account shall be financed as follows: the unencumberd balance of $3,584,800 and other income of $ 2,121,900 to be applied for the current financial period, the amouont of $ 15,804,000 in excess of the authorized level of the Reserve Fund to be applied to the current period, the balance of $ 161,676,300 to be prorated among the budgets of the active peacekeeping operations for the current period; the net estimated staff assessment income of $ 18,186,100 to be prorated among the budgets of the individual active peacekeeping operations.
