This progress report on women and adequate housing reviews activities undertaken by the Special Rapporteur since 2003, and explores specific themes that have emerged as key issues in the context of women's right to adequate housing: violence against women; forced evictions and homelessness; certain cultural norms that deprive women of their rights to land, inheritance and property; multiple forms of discrimination.
