Report of the Secretary-General pursuant to paragraph 30 of resolution 1546 (2004)

Provides an update on the UN activities in Iraq since the last report of 8 Dec. 2004 (S/2004/959). Also provides a summary of key developments in Iraq, particularly with regard to the political process and regional developments pertaining to Iraq. Describes the UN electoral assistance activities for the elections that took place on 30 Jan. 2005, as well as the main activities of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) during the period under review, including operational assessment of the security situation and an update on security arrangements for the UN presence in Iraq.
